December 16, 2015

You have booked one of our condos in the Smoky Mountains for your winter vacation and you couldn’t be more excited. You have dreamed about seeing the snow covered mountains for as long as you can remember and now the time has finally arrived. Now that you booked one of our condos in the Smoky Mountains, you need to prepare for your trip. You have to figure out everything that you will be doing throughout the trip and how you are going to pack for your trip. To help you out we have compiled some tips that will help you prepare for your winter vacation at our condos in the Smoky Mountains.

1. Prepare for Colder Weather

You checked the weather twice and you have packed accordingly. However, what your weather app may not take into consideration is that you will be situated at various elevations throughout your trip. During any trip to the Smoky Mountains, you will want to check out the mountains up close and personal that means you may be located at higher or lower elevations throughout your trip. At higher elevations, the temperature may be a lot colder than it could be at a lower elevation such as where our condos in the Smoky Mountains are located. If you were debating on bringing an extra jacket along, don’t debate any longer, it is better to be too warm than too cold during your winter vacation to the Smoky Mountains.

2. Pack for What You Want To Do

There are so many great activities for you to check out during your winter vacation to the Smoky Mountains, so it is important to pack for whatever activities you that want to do. Maybe you want to explore the Smoky Mountains on a winter drive in the warmth of your car, which means you won’t need an extra fluffy and warm coat. However, maybe during your trip you want to explore the deeper parts of the Smoky Mountains by going hiking or cross-country skiing. By participating in those wonderful winter activities, you will definitely need to prepare for colder weather by bringing a warm jacket, gloves, boots and definitely a hat to ensure that all parts of your body stay extra warm.

3. Plan for a Night In

Exploring the Smoky Mountains is definitely an exciting experience, but after a day of excitement you are ready to unwind. At our condos in the Smoky Mountains, you can do just that. Many of our condos feature a jacuzzi tub which is perfect for a long relaxing soak. You and your loved ones can see the beautiful lights from the town below from your condo’s deck and then afterwards cuddle up together around the warm fireplace. By spending a night in, you and your loved ones can relax and just enjoy each others’ company by telling silly stories around the fireplace or even watching movies together.

4.Decide Where You Want To Go

By deciding beforehand, you can map out all the locations you want to visit and plan each day of your visit accordingly. You will, of course, want to do the things that are close together in the same day. This way, you will save time and be able to see more of the Smoky Mountains throughout your trip.
